Scribewren is open to everyone from today. You upload a recording and get a transcript you can edit, with timestamps and speaker labels, plus subtitles and AI notes. The Unlimited plan is one flat price, with no per-minute meter running behind it.

What you can do today

  • Transcribe audio and video in 38+ languages. Upload a file, wait for it to finish and read the result in the transcript editor, with the audio playing beside the text.
  • See who said what. Speaker identification labels each voice, and you can rename the speakers.
  • Export what you need. Subtitles and exports covers TXT, DOCX, PDF, SRT and VTT.
  • Get AI notes. AI notes gives you a summary, chapters and action items from the transcript.
  • Translate a finished transcript into another language with translation.
  • Use the API. The API and webhooks let you transcribe from your own code.

Plans

Free allows 3 transcriptions a day, up to 30 minutes each, and needs no card. Unlimited is $19 a month or $96 a year, with no minute count within fair use of 300 hours per month. Your first purchase has a 30-day money-back guarantee, set out on the refunds page. The full comparison is on the pricing page.

Launch offer

Until 1 December 2026 at 00:00 UTC, the code LAUNCH25 takes 25% off the first year of the yearly plan. It applies to the yearly plan only, and the offer ends on that date.

How we handle your recordings

Original files are deleted within 24 hours of finishing. Playback copies stay for 7 days on Free and 90 days on Unlimited. Your recordings and transcripts are never used for training. Speech-to-text is done by xAI under a Zero Data Retention arrangement, and the subprocessors page lists every company that handles data for us. The details are in how long we keep your recordings.
