Polish is a case-heavy language, and that is the main thing to keep in mind when you read a transcript. A person's name, a place or a company can end differently depending on how it is used in the sentence, so the same surname may appear in three forms in a single interview. This is correct grammar and not a transcription error, but if you are building an index of names you will want to normalise them.

Polish also packs many consonants together. Words like "wszczęcie" or "chrząszcz" are not rare in real speech, and fast talkers can blur them. If you notice a cluster of odd words, play the passage back using its timestamp rather than guessing from the text.

Typical files are podcasts, university lectures, interviews for journalism or research, and recorded business meetings. Many include English terms, especially in IT and finance, and those are worth a quick read-through.

Diacritics are part of the spelling, so if they go missing in an export, check the document in the application you are using. Speaker labels keep multi-person recordings readable, and exports include TXT, DOCX, PDF, SRT and VTT.

Questions

Are Polish diacritics included in the transcript?

Yes. Letters such as ą, ę, ł and ż are part of the alphabet and should appear in the text. You can correct any slip in the editor.

Why do names look different in different sentences?

Polish declines nouns and names by case, so a surname can have a different ending depending on the sentence. Use find and replace if you want a standard form.

Can I use it for Polish podcasts?

Yes. Upload the episode, label the hosts with speaker names, and export TXT or DOCX for show notes. AI notes can add a summary.

Does background noise from a conference hall matter?

It does. Results vary with audio quality, accents and background noise, so record close to the speaker where you can.
